Willy Wallace Hostel is in the heart of Stirling!
Dunblane Cathedral was built in the 12th century and is still being one of the few surviving medieval churches in Scotland. The Cathedral is the larger of the two Church of Scotland parish churches serving Dunblane, near the city of Stirling. It’s a place where people of all ages gather to explore the life and teaching of Christ.
Dunblane is not actually a Cathedral anymore, due to the abolition of bishops, after the Scottish Reformation, and it is now of Presbyterian denomination. The building is the largely 13th century in date, but some important modifications were made in the structure, such as the increase in height of the bell-tower in the 15th century and were restored in the late 19th century under the control of Rev Alexander Ritchie DD. In 1914 one more restoration was made under Scottish architect, Sir Robert Lorimer.
Nowadays the building is owned by the Crown and is looked after by Historic Scotland rather than the church governance. For a cheap fare, dorms are the perfect economical option for singles, couples and group backpackers. By booking directly with us, you will always pay 10-15% less than booking on another site.
